Be first to empty your hand. Tap a card matching the active card by suit or value, then Play. Tap more cards to play a run: consecutive same-suit cards going up or down (e.g. 5♥ 6♥ 7♥). You can also insert a card of the same number from another suit (e.g. 4♠ 4♥ 5♥ 6♥).
K reverses · Q must be covered by the same suit (you can select the cover card right after the Queen and play both in one go) · black J (♣♠) = next draws 5 · red J (♥♦) cancels a draw stack · 2 = next draws 2 · 8 = skip · A = wild, pick a suit; plays on any card (but can't dodge a draw stack).
In a run, a power card's effect (K, Q, or a 2/8/black-Jack add) only counts if it's the very last card you play — cover it with more cards in the same run and that effect is wiped out. A Red Jack's cancel is the one exception: it's instant and permanent the moment it's played, no matter what follows it.
Call Last card on an EARLIER turn — before the turn you actually play your final card. Calling it and playing your winner in the same turn is too late and won't count: you'll draw 2 instead of winning. If you call it but don't actually win on your very next turn, the call expires and you'll need to call it again. You can't win on a power card (K,Q,J,2,8,A). Illegal plays cost you 2 cards and end your turn — same as any other pickup. (Failing to cover a Queen is its own separate +1 penalty and doesn't change this.)
